Artist commission events

As part of the Craft Expertise project we have commissioned five craft artists to produce a piece of work related to the project themes of diversity in craft. The artists are Shaheen Ahmed, Lorna Hamilton-Brown, Omeima Mudawi-Rowlings, Francisca Onumah and Onome Otite. The pieces will be shown at an exhibition at the Crafts Council gallery in London in November 2021.

Artist work in progress event, 25 May 2021

On 25 May the artists shared their work in progress in an online event. The artists discussed the inspiration, concepts and process for their work. You can watch the recording of the event below.
