Following my research trip to Australia during November/December 2022, I am pleased to share a new podcast series featuring interviews with key people involved in Australian craft. This was initially going to be an audio documentary, but there was so much in the interviews that we decided to create a new podcast series. Craft Expertise: The View From Australia will consist of four episodes, each an interview with a different person involved in Australian craft. The interviews focus on questions around diversity and inclusion in Australian professional craft, and in later episodes we discuss craft social enterprise, and positive possibilities they provide for people who have an interest in craft.
In this first episode I speak to Professor Susan Luckman from the University of South Australia, her work has been so important for this project over the past few years, so a huge thanks to Susan for taking the time to speak to me, and for her hospitality during my time in Adelaide.
